Mentoring programmes are confidential partnerships between an experienced SCRC researcher and someone new to the SCRC or more a junior/ECR. As a mentee you can develop your technical, personal skills and confidence. Joining a cross-institutional SCRC mentoring program allows for a broader, unbiased perspective, and has the potential to facilitate new research interactions. The SCRC mentoring programme can also help increase engagement between researchers and help with grant writing and success!
While mentors can offer general career advice, the mentorship scheme is not designed for students to secure jobs within the cancer centre.
